CBSE releases subject-wise marks breakdown for 2025 Classes 10, 12 exams
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the detailed subject-wise marks separation for Class 10 and 12 for the 2025 board exams. The total marks for each subject remain at 100, which includes separate allocations for theory, practicals, projects, and internal assessments (IA).
The notification outlines the schedule for the practical exams, with Class 10 practicals starting from January 1, 2025, and Class 12 practicals beginning from February 15, 2025. Students can check the official CBSE website to view the marks distribution for 83 subjects in Class 10 and 121 subjects in Class 12, detailing how the 100 marks are divided.
The board emphasis the importance of schools adhering to correct procedures while uploading practical, project, and IA marks. To ensure the smooth conduct of both practical and theoretical exams, a circular has been issued, listing key details such as subject codes, marks distribution for theory and practicals, and whether external examiners will be appointed.
