3rd Meghalaya Chemistry Olympiad held today at USTM
The 3rd Meghalaya Chemistry Olympiad (MCO-24) will be held today, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, across various centers in Meghalaya, including Jowai, Shillong, Nongpoh, and the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM). The Olympiad is being organized by the Department of Chemistry, USTM and is proudly supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK, one of the most prestigious organizations in the field of chemistry.
This year, the Olympiad has seen tremendous enthusiasm, with over 1,100 students registering to participate—a record-breaking number that underscores the event’s growing significance among students passionate about science.
Speaking in this regard, Dr Golam Mohiuddin, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, USTM and Convener, MCO-24, said, “The involvement of the Royal Society of Chemistry, UK adds immense value and credibility to the Olympiad, making it a truly remarkable occasion for all participants. We sincerely thank the schools, their principals, teachers-in-charge, and guardians for their unwavering support. Finally, we extend our warmest wishes to all the students taking part in MCO-24.
