private-schools-of-delhi-cannot-increase-their-fees-without-permission-delhi-government
The Delhi Government has issued a fresh order mandating that, the recognized private schools in Delhi cannot increase their fees without taking permission. A prior approval from the Directorate of Education (DoE) before implementing any fee hikes must be taken.

This directive is in alignment with Section 17 of the Delhi School Education Act and Rules (DSEAR), 1973, which prohibits private unaided schools from enhancing fees without prior sanction from the Director of Education.

In light of this, all heads of schools and managers of such recognised private unaided schools are instructed to submit their proposals for fee increases for the academic session 2024-25 to the Director of Education online via the Directorate's website. The deadline for submission is set from April 1, 2024, to April 15, 2024. Any incomplete proposals will be rejected summarily.
