Padma Awards 2025: Literary and educational pioneers amongst 139 awardees
The Padma Awards are the most significant civilian awards in India. On Saturday, excellence in different fields, ranging from literature and education to arts, science, and public services, was awarded. This year, the President approved 139 recipients in three categories: Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri. among them, 30 were recognised for their achievements in the field of literature and education.
CATEGORY OF PADMA AWARDS
It has three annual categories of awards, namely,- Padma Vibhushan: For exceptional and distinguished service.
- Padma Bhushan: For distinguished service of a high order.
- Padma Shri: For distinguished service in any field.
- There is also a single listing for one duo. The collective award is counted as an honour in this case.
