UNESCO has announced the call for nominations for the 2025 L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science International Award.This edition will recognize five outstanding scientific researchers in the fields of Physical Sciences, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Each laureate will receive an award of 100,000 euros for their significant contributions to scientific research.

Interested and eligible candidates are invited to submit their applications to the Indian National Commission for Cooperation with UNESCO (INCCU) by July 1, 2024. The INCCU will then forward the nominations to UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, for further consideration.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Recognition: Candidates must be recognised for their scientific excellence by the international scientific community.

Active participation: Candidates must have actively participated in scientific research.

Restrictions: Self-nominations and nominations by immediate family members are not accepted. The award is given to individuals only, not teams.
