Heavy Rainfall: Schools closed in Bengaluru, parts of West Bengal and Odisha
Heavy rainfall has caused severe issues in parts of West Bengal and Odisha Schools across Bengaluru, several districts in West Bengal, and parts of Odisha have been closed due to the impact of a cyclone and heavy rainfall. Authorities in these regions have taken precautionary measures to ensure the safety of students.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that primary and secondary schools in nine districts would remain closed from October 23 to 26 due to the approaching cyclone.
ODISHA SHUTS SCHOOLS IN 14 DISTRICTS
In Odisha, Special Relief Commissioner DK Singh has also ordered the closure of schools in 14 districts from October 23 to 25 as a preventive measure.
