Senior teacher at Orchids International School and CBSE Board examiner Gangambika KV advises focusing on key topics and revising thoroughly to avoid common mistakes and scoring high.
Here are the main points to keep in mind for the Biology section while preparing for the CBSE Class 10 Science exam:
- NCERT textbooks: Use your NCERT textbooks as your primary source of information and ensure that you thoroughly understand the concepts
- Writing answers in points: All answers should be written in bullet points. Avoid making the points too lengthy
- Attempting questions: Attempt all questions, even if you only know 1–2 points and the question requires more. Do not leave any questions unanswered
- Neatness and presentability: Maintain neatness throughout your answer sheet. Write legibly, avoid scratches, use tables to "differentiate between" questions, and separate each answer by drawing a line after every response.
- Diagrams and flowcharts: Use a sharp pencil to draw diagrams and flowcharts. Label the diagrams clearly, preferably placing the labels on the right side of the answer sheet.
