The university grants commission has instructed Higher Educational Institutions to refund the fees for students who have migrated to other institutes to refund the fees for students who have migrated to other colleges or universities.

This action was taken in response to numerous complaints received by the UGC regarding the non-refund of fees by several HEI’s.

An official notification from the UGC emphasised the importance of addressing student grievances promptly and efficiently.

The UGC's notification further warned that delays or denials in fee refunds could lead to punitive actions as prescribed under relevant guidelines and regulations.
