In a yet another development during a session of the state assembly,Education Minister Dr Vanlalthlana revealed that the Mizoram school education department is grappling with a notable shortfall, as 2,991 positions remain unfilled. In response to an enquiry from opposition Mizo National Front (MNF) member Prova Chakma, the minister assured that efforts are underway to address the vacant positions following the current recruitment regulations.
