India and UK unite for women in space leadership programme
To promote women's leadership in science and research, the Department of Science and Technology (DST) has collaborated with the British Council to launch the 'Women in Space Leadership Programme' (WiSLP). This initiative is set to create a framework for women's leadership that assists institutions in enhancing their gender-inclusive policies and practices, particularly in the fields of space sciences and related areas.
The development of WiSLP will involve consultations with experts from India, with Coventry University acting as the delivery partner, as stated by the British Council. The launch took place during a design workshop held on September 25 at the Department of Science and Technology (DST) office in New Delhi.
The DST launched the programme in collaboration with the British Council of the UK, as part of the UK-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI).
