IGNOU introduces BSc in food safety and quality management via online and distance learning mode
Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has launched a Bachelor's degree programme in Food Safety and Quality Management through its School of Agriculture (SoA) in the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode.
Applicants must have completed their Class 12 grade with Science and Agriculture subjects. The annual fee for the course is Rs 6,000, in addition to a registration/development fee.
Some of the scopes of the program are:
Food Safety Team Leader/Supervisor/Manager in the food industry or hospitality sector, Technical Officer in Quality Control departments
Food Safety Officer/Inspector in regulatory bodies and food safety departments, Food Safety Auditor for certification and inspection organisations, Trainer/Counsellor for training and counselling institutions
