The second day of the 5th Steering Committee Meeting was organised by USTM and  PIMC observed distinguished speakers addressing on the theme "Enhancing healthcare in North East India: A strategic move under India's Act East Policy".

The meeting began with a welcome address by Shri Mahbubul Hoque, Chancellor USTM.

A book titled 'Envisioning India" authored by Prof Sanjay Deshmukh, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai was also released by the dignitaries.

Some of the delegates who have taken sessions included Prof Ved Parkash, Former UGC Chairman, New Delhi; Dr RC Deka, Former Director, AIIMS, New Delhi; Dr MU Rabbani, Prof (retd ) of Cardiology, Aligarh Muslim University, Dr Sarbeswar Sahariah Pro Vice Chancellor USTM, Prof Sanjay Deshmukh, Former Vice Chancellor, University of Mumbai.

An interactive session followed the presentations. The program was participated by USTM Vice Chancellor Prof GD Sharma, Advisor Dr RK Sharma, apart from HoDs, Deans, faculty members and researchers.
