Arunachal Pradesh Signs MoUs for AI-Powered Holistic Learning
In a visionary step toward transforming education, the Government of Arunachal Pradesh has signed two groundbreaking Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to integrate AI-powered holistic learning into the state’s educational ecosystem. The initiatives aim to embed social, emotional, and ethical (SEE) learning within school curricula, while simultaneously leveraging artificial intelligence to preserve and promote indigenous languages such as Bhoti and Hindi.
The MoUs mark a first-of-its-kind effort in India’s northeastern region to blend traditional wisdom with modern technology, ensuring that students not only excel academically but also develop empathy, resilience, and cultural awareness. By embedding SEE learning principles, the government seeks to nurture “happier and wiser learners” — young minds who can adapt to real-world challenges with emotional intelligence and ethical grounding.
Under the second agreement, AI tools will be deployed to digitally document, analyze, and promote local languages, ensuring that linguistic heritage is protected even as digital learning expands. This dual focus on technology and tradition represents Arunachal Pradesh’s broader vision for inclusive and sustainable education, where modern classrooms remain rooted in cultural identity.
Speaking about the initiative, state officials emphasized that such collaborations will empower teachers, engage communities, and equip students with 21st-century skills. The program is expected to set a national benchmark for how AI can be harnessed not just for efficiency, but for cultural preservation and holistic human development.
With these MoUs, Arunachal Pradesh positions itself as a trailblazer in AI-driven, values-based education—paving the way for an enlightened generation that learns with both heart and mind.
